Position Title: Regional Voter Registration Director

Reporting Structure: Reports to Project Director

Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $78,000, depending on experience and skill sets.

Job Classification: Full time, exempt

Schedule: Full-time (40 or more hours per week, and can reach 70+ hours at peak times)

Location: On-site

Benefits: RFS offers all full-time employees who remain with our team for more than three months full health care, dental, and vision benefits. Any job-related travel, lodging, and other expenses are paid for by RFS.

Position Summary

Revolution Field Strategies (RFS) is seeking talented, driven individuals for the role of Regional Voter Registration Director (RD), who will be responsible for building, managing, and leading regional teams for voter registration programs in Michigan. RDs will work with program leadership to develop high-quality, efficient programs that help to register voters in communities across the state. RDs will directly manage in-office staff, including Canvass Managers, as well as oversee all voter registration canvassers in their respective region.

Regional Voter Registration Directors will report directly to their Project Director. This role is in person and the applicant will be required to travel to the project location for the duration of the project. Salaries for this position range from $66,000 to $96,000 based on experience and skill set.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with state leadership to develop and implement all components of a community voter registration program.

  • Lead, coach, and manage the day-to-day activities of the regional team, overseeing all aspects training and team member accountability

  • Analyze daily and weekly reports to track progress to goals and implement rigorous quality control measures

  • Work to ensure all regional goals are met

  • Execute successful and meaningful engagement with the community

Qualifications

  • Prior voter registration or grassroots organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship)

  • Management experience preferred

  • Ability and willingness to work a demanding schedule, which can reach 70+ hours per week at peak times and can be expected to include evenings and weekends.

  • Must possess a cell phone, laptop

  • Must have ready access to personal transportation and will be required to provide proof of driver’s insurance

  • Must be able to travel and/or relocate to project locations on short notice; travel, lodging, and other related expenses are provided by RFS.

Plus Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team

  • Experience leading teams of grassroots volunteers or community organizers

  • Familiarity with Google Suite, NGP VAN, and Blocks

Revolution Field Strategies is seeking highly motivated candidates for the roles of Quality Control Associate for a voter registration program. Quality Control Associates will provide support to their Regional Organizing Director (ROD) and manage the intake of voter registration forms throughout the duration of the program.

These roles are full-time, salaried positions. Quality Control Associates must be true self-starters, disciplined, and able to maintain a high level of organization. RFS provides comprehensive job training for new hires and we strongly encourage potential applicants who have the qualified skills for the position to apply, regardless of prior campaign experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the daily intake of voter registration forms

  • Develop and maintain a strict process for documenting and storing voter registration forms

  • Work with Regional Organizing Director (ROD) as well as project director(s) to analyze voter registration forms and assist in the development of written performance reviews

  • Ensure reporting and accountability protocols are followed to provide up-to-date, actionable data and information to campaign leadership; and,

  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Prior organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship)

  • A background in Blocks is preferred or an ability to learn new technology quickly

  • Must be a strong trainer

  • Ability to work long and unusual hours (some weekends and nights, especially leading up to the voter registration deadline

  • Detail oriented and comfortable to work in a fast paced environment

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team

  • Access to a reliable vehicle is preferred

  • Full availability for the last two weeks before Election Day is required

  • All applicants must possess a laptop computer, cell-phone, and reliable vehicle
